
NABH Launches Continuous Application for Entry-Level Hospital Assessors Training Programme
The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) has opened a continuous application process for its Three-Day Assessors’ Training Programme, aimed at building a qualified pool of assessors for Entry Level Hospitals under the NABH 1st Edition Standards.
The intensive in-person course combines classroom sessions, practical exercises, and a final assessment, equipping selected healthcare professionals to evaluate hospitals on quality, safety, and patient-centric care. Successful participants may be empanelled as official NABH assessors.
Applicants must hold an MBBS with post-graduation in clinical subjects (MD/MS/DNB) or healthcare/hospital management, with at least 3 years relevant experience. Candidates must be currently employed for the past 3 years in a NABH Accredited/Certified or Government Hospital and be formally nominated by their organization. Independent consultants and third-party auditors are ineligible.
Preference will be given to those with prior NABH training. Candidates should exhibit strong ethical conduct, knowledge of NABH standards, analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in report writing.
Each batch will have around 50 participants. The training fee is ₹15,000 + 18% GST. Applications can be submitted via the NABH portal: portal.nabh.co/AssessorTrainingELH.aspx. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed, and only selected applicants will be asked to pay the course fee. “This initiative is part of NABH’s ongoing mission to raise the quality bar in Indian healthcare through robust accreditation and skilled assessments,” said Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO, NABH.
